Silver Screen Spanish Villa – Or Is It?

Nothing evokes the heyday of Hollywood living in the silver screen era than a Spanish style villa. Is that Carole Lombard by the pool? No – maybe its Linda Darnell, who looks nothing like Ms. Lombard–not one bit, but of course we can only peer from our “Homes of the Stars” brochures from the street hoping to catch a glimpse. Yes, the days when starlets had handlers and agents who carefully molded their images and diverted the press away from their drunken benders. Then again, VHS and camera phones were not invented yet.
Above is one of these such houses. Actually, its not. It’s not even in Hollywood, unless it is closer to Hollywood, Florida and its new construction. Franky Architects, a Boca Raton Custom Home Architect, is regularly dreaming up such modern homes with a luxurious feel that is a throwback to the golden days. This time, they have all the modern and marketable conveniences and flowing floor plans stars like yourself need these days, with or without the white linen suit and the Panama hat (Or perhaps your Tune Togs by the pool.)
If you could build a luxury home today with strong design nods to another era, what era would you choose, or what influences would you borrow from that century or decade? Maybe its just a general feel.
